Temple's National Trial Team retained its regional title
This past weekend, Temple's National Trial Team retained its regional title by winning the NTC Regional Championship of the National Trial Competition at the Criminal Justice Center in Philadelphia. It was Temple’s 24th regional championship in 26 yearsof competition. The members of the championship team are Stacy Merritt (3L) and Dan Theveny (2L). In the double bracketed competition, a second team of Andrew Katz (3L), Caroline Leigh (3L), Jim Price (2L) also competed.
The competition hosted 21 teams from 11 law schools representing Delaware, New Jersey and Pennsylvania. The Team travels to Austin, Texas on March 21 to compete for the National Trial Championship against the twenty-four winners and runners-up from the twelve other regional contests. The teams are coached by Professor Sara Jacobson, Director of Trial Advocacy Programs and Alex Gosfield, Esq. (‘08) (Chester County DA’s Office).
The tournament was sponsored by Temple's LL.M. in Trial Advocacy Alumni Association, directed by Professor Barbara Ashcroft, Director of the LL.M. Program and administrated by Mary Beth Wilson.
