Samuel Pond and Jerry Lehocky Create Trial Advocacy Scholarship at Temple University Beasley School of Law
classmates, now law partners, attorneys Samuel H. Pond and Jerry M. Lehocky
have found a way to give back to the institution that launched their highly
successful careers in law. The two partners at Philadelphia-based Pond Lehocky
Stern Giordano, the largest workers' compensation and Social Security
Disability law firm in the region, have established the Pond and Lehocky
Scholarship Fund in Trial Advocacy, an award to be given annually to a student
with a focus on trial advocacy at Temple University's Beasley
School of Law.

agrees. "That gratitude is what prompted us to establish this scholarship.
We are excited and honored to be able to provide this yearly award to a Temple
Law student who understands and emphasizesthe importance of trial advocacy."
Lehocky first met in law school and formed a friendship that has flourished
ever since. Throughout the years they've developeda mutual respect for one
another, first as opposing counsel, and later, more deeply, as partners. In
2010, they founded Pond Lehocky Stern Giordano, where Pond serves as managing
partner. Headquartered in Philadelphia, Pond Lehocky is the largest firm of its
kind in the region and represents workers' compensation clients throughout
Pennsylvania and Social Security disability clients in all 50 states, as well
as Puerto Rico.
Both Pond and
Lehocky share a passion for advocating for workers' rights and, as seasoned
trial lawyers, espouse the importance of trial advocacy. Their scholarship
helps pass the torch to young law students eager to further its rich tradition.
