LIBRARIANS AS JURORS

In the publication American Libraries, January/February 2008 is an article 'Librarians in the Jury Box' by Nancy Kalikow Maxwell. The author quotes a number of sources which add up to the idea that librarians make good jurors: librarians are interested in facts, they are reasonable, organized, careful, intelligent. But the author warns against choosing catalogers for jury duty.
